Hog Roast a success

The 23rd July saw the latest in our annual series of berthholder events. We followed a tried and trusted formula this time round with roast pig expertly cooked and served by Chris of The Barbeque Chef, Graham Anthony providing the musical entertainment and the Harbour Team dispensing drinks, bread and salads. New this year icecream supplied by the Deck from their smart green and hite ice cream bike and provided free to guests courtesy of the on-site businesses. Also traditional, the raffle of Southampton Boat Show tickets and bottles of wine. As usual Lorna did an excellent job organising the event while good weather meant our large "just in case" marquee was mostly not required. The new toilet facilities were also open for customers to enjoy (or just check out). It was a pleasure to see everyone and heres hoping that those of you who couldn't make it are able to attend next year.

Thanks to those of you who dressed up your boats - Ocean Pearl, Reprieve and Tringa II all looked splendid and provided a great backdrop to the event.
