    ML Dredging Arrive at EYH

    ML Dredging’s barges and workboats arrived this morning amid perfect weather conditions and calm water. They are now moored up on D pontoon, shortly to be joined by Boxer, the dredging platform. Dredging will commence once the oyster fishery season in Chichester Harbour is closed – this starts tomorrow and will finish when the permitted catch has been taken.

    Cruise in Company May 2017

    The sun shone for our Cruise in Company this weekend, although the waters were rather choppy. Nine boats set off from EYH on Saturday although unfortunately Oban was forced to return by technical problems. Nothing daunted her valiant crew took to the road, joining forces with Derek, Sheila and Lorna, and met up with the rest of the party at Gosport marina.

    Open Boat and Berthholder Picnic

    There were balloons, there were boats hosting visitors, there were people visiting boats, even apparently scones on El Bravo (sorry I missed those).  Our inaugural Open Boat event (shamelessly copied from a marina in the South West) took place yesterday on a fortunately dry Sunday morning.

    Oyster Boat Terror takes to the water

    The Terror is managed by the Friends of Chichester Harbour and trips operate from the visitors’ pontoon at Emsworth Yacht Harbour. A trip out on Terror around beautiful Chichester Harbour is a wonderful experience.
